Though we’re stuck in mid-winter this track would give you the feeling of warm air rushing through your hair like it was mid-summer and the feeling is truly easy as a result. There was something here that reminded me of Peter, Bjorn and John (Balloon Maker are from Göteborg, have released a slew of singles and have a debut album on the way) and that is not a bad old feeling to have at all. With the melodies gushing forward as it goes ‘M.Boy’ really does everything in its power to have the sun bursting from the sky. With the Beach Boys layering on show here, Filip Orrhult’s vocals so dreamy, it meant that unmistakable warm fuzzy feeling was inevitable. And weren’t we due some given how things have panned out so far in 2021. KH
