A winter focus here from Montreal’s Jim Audet, all Nick Drake by the fire because the alternative is just too difficult for a persona on the precipice. But there is always warmth in his heart and it’s bolstered on ‘Dance Me Through Manhattan’ by truly sumptuous arrangements. Sure he has his idiosyncrasies but always draws us in to his corner owing to the sheer musicality and talent on show. Marvel at the sheer romance of this tune, like Villagers when Conor O’Brien hits that sweet spot every so often. Stunning. KH
