Oh my there is a flotilla of harmony and chords to disentangle in our heads, a song with jangle, approachability and a gut propulsion to keep things a little off the main drag. I hear country, indie pop but there is enough alt leaning quirks to suggest that Forest Ray are just doing the most natural thing in the world. Comes naturally to this Seattle troupe so we were at ease from the minute ‘Black Pine’ waltzed into earshot.
