Though quiet and respectful ‘Path’ by Sufjan Stevens’ collaborator Marla Hansen gushes forth from a distance. At least that is until the strings kick in and we get a form of modern Kate Bush – or more accurately Argentina’s Juana Molina, all creative arcs and motions akin to walks in great mountain ranges that fill us with the encouragement to carry on. The effect of sweeping arrangements and vocals with that unmistakable inner levity is near profound. Replays become contagious on this absolute grower. KH
