Highnoon – Lens

You know that jangle pop doesn’t get the credit it deserves, or indie pop for that matter and Highnoon appear adept at both so I’ve got my fingers crossed that the odds can be beaten because Philadelphia’s Kennedy Freeman is a serious operator. Not least for a singer who can create cool and amiable company so our fawning adoration is properly appreciated. ‘Lens’ is an easy listen but not an easy thing to pull off on record so it occupies that rare ground that balances subtlety with a creation we can whistle along to.
