Oh my the overt sadness got us initially but also a definable hope provided by Franko’s vocals which just sync perfectly with chords that sound barely strummed but still added soothing textures to our aching psyche. The yearning is palpable in this Brit influenced Texas boy but when we copped onto the way he was throwing the arrangements together it made for an even neater indie swagger. Truly reminds of Only Real, a DIY approach with so much heart it could power a small Yorkshire village. KH
