Yep you’ve probably guessed it that Hull collective bdrmm are in awe of our glorious indie past. ‘Happy’ being a dreampop jangling mixtape with a soft fury and a gushing melody in tow. The most wondrous thing is how effortless it all sounds but also how classically tinged as if New Order were at their 80’s peak – there is definitely a lot of C-86 going on here too. Left us in hopeless loop of rewinding and heartswelling until suddenly we realised it was late and dark outside but we were by contrast early and bright inside. Gorgeous. KH
