Think Lauran Hibberd and think a series of fireworks, a certain youthful two-fingers to convention but most of all a vigour that most acts would give their full right arm for. ‘Hoochie’ is no different, a little ancient Bis going on but with considerably better production values. The hope is this Isle of Wight firebrand never loses that sense of insouciance and her way with a hurricane to the face chorus. KH
