Not sure if SCS were aiming for an updated version of the Monkees channelling the Cars but that is what it sounds like. And all served up with a swell of vocal melodies and engaging brass which emerges from precisely nowhere. There is a slightly bonkers approach, but one that is full of sucrose musical ideas from the pen of Juan Antonio Lopez. The LA artist exists in a world where music is the conversation and the chat is always lively. Stop the thinking and start the smiling. KH
