Oh my this had me in mind of the Strokes with a dollop of the Eagles thrown in for good measure. Soft country punk with an emphasis on vocal melody from the hand of Dan Knishkowy. This is the way everyone hoped the Kings of Leon would go but no they just disappeared into a mountain of bland mulch. ‘Lightning’ is an instant fave, lots of instrumental breaks especially the final one which is a wig out to remember. Adeline Hotel’s new record ‘Away Together’ is out now. KH
