Blue J – Hard To Know

‘Hard To Know’ has the cleanest indie sound, a jangle with a beat that is beyond the usual ratatat. Add in a vocal that is as dreamy as anything that the Labrador label (or Sarah Records before them) could lay their hands on and you have a piece of dreampop slipstream that is reminiscent of a whole slew of fey boy led 90’s heroes. The rays are beaming outside but this is good weather without the risks associated with sunstroke. Add in a quotient of youthful confusion and this Vancouver act could yet become the sound of summer 2018. KH
