On first impressions ‘Amazon’ is as lo-fi as can be but my how this tune harnesses all its combustible energy to wake us from our 90’s indie loving slumber. Yep, this Helsinki act had me close to tears such is the way the tune forages this way and that and in the process delivers a fine chorus, jangling chords and a set of mounting crescendos. Football fans too, which does come across in the loose madchester way ‘Amazon’ goes about its business. Top stuff. KH
