Hiding Behind Sound – One Last One

What a skittering delight, like an insect on water it has a lightness of being while retaining an off-kilter individuality. The vocals just extenuate that feeling, slightly distant but pointedly making their point. Indie pop such as this reminds me of the Sundays and several tracks from their ‘Reading, Writing and Arithmetic’ classic 90’s LP. Every moment on ‘One Last One’ is bathed in lo-fi but all I wanted to do was hi-five such was the unfolding lolloping glory. New York’s Sammi Niss has let this genie out of the lamp and in the process provides the answer to many of your sonic wishes. KH
