Classy reflective moments as ever from Rebeca Arango’s Oddnesse. This time it is that post-relationship tightrope and the having to live with the realisation that it is unassailably broken. An interesting subject to tackle but if any act can capture it surely Oddnesse is it. This is mostly because they operate at a sumptuous glacial pace so we get to pick out all the shiny and dexterous moving parts despite being engineered in slow motion. A mention too for the vocals which seems so delicate they could snap in two at any moment. Already feels like a classic, at just several listens in. KH
