Those vocals are as soothing as ever, slightly out of shot but giving us the usual sense of being part of something classy. ‘Drag The Lake’ does feel rather sedate initially, like the sun going down and the curtains being drawn on the day. Happy we were then to hear a shift in tempo that sees the emergence of flitting brass, male vocals and a gently ascending rhythm, reminders of Christmas, that is so endearing it becomes the most huggable thing we’ve heard all week. Like a happy Low, not sad nor slow but happycore. How they’ve grown. KH
