‘Someone Else’ has the heart and feel of a song from the traditional songbook, look kids it even has a chorus! Astrid Cordes’ vocals are stylistically similar to Nina Persson and that honeyed intonation is made all the more svelte thanks to the orchestral embellishment. Shy Shy Shy are a Danish duo (Astrid and Simon Kjeldgaard) with a debut LP ‘Make Up’ due next month and going by this evidence it could be quite the indie pop delight. KH
