Jess Jones is the very definition of a singer-songwriter, just a voice and her guitar in perfect harmony. It’s a simple concoction so the change of tact about a minute in when the vocals take on a different pitch and motivation makes it all the more appealing. Matters are lo-fi throughout but the orchestral parts takes this up a level and beyond. Sweet. KH
