A lightness of acoustic touch is evident from the getgo but nothing can prepare you for that voice which has a little Nick Drake and a small bit Paul Simon. In essence it is a soft bolt from the blue, something that just sat on my shoulder and whispered sweet nothings that said everything I need to know. ‘Small Life’ is understated and beautiful and comes from a Brooklyn based artist who appears to be a one-man industry playing every instrument you hear.
