This is so drenched in 90’s aesthetics I can almost smell the lumberjack shirts. Of course it is a world away from that style, this is Madchester (and they come from that neck of the woods) and dreampop in a swirl of gorgeous harmonies. Not sure if I prefer the vocals or the baggy backing track, but together it is a potent brew for someone who still looks back to that decade for his fave moments. File under that Jagwar Ma penchant for gloriously recreating the past though it reminds me most of the long lost Scottish band the Wendys. KH
