Much as I’ve tried to love Antony and the Johnsons I cannot, but then how odd that an artist who sounds so similiar knits so seamlessly to the sonic probing nodes inside my head. Sure it is performance art, kinda avant garde and way above my indie pay grade but good music is good music and this is great music. In fact when ‘Ballerino’ set off on that build I got a little emotional. Such a candid performance from this New York based Australian chanteuse and one that will stay with you for some time. KD
