Baltimore’s Sun Club may sound like they are dragging their instruments behind them with the carefree nonchalance of a toddler enthralled by the sound that a saucepan makes. For this we love them but the eerie familiarity in their sound to AYWKUBTTOD’s masterpiece ‘Source Codes & Tags’ completes a love affair that will hopefully last the distance. It’s a patchwork quilt for sure with the moving parts sounding like they are imported from other jams but for a splat of such varied ingredients it works a treat. All points to a group of young lads in it for the laugh so let’s hope no one tells too soon how good they actually are. KD
