Dammit, both the Baskervilles and their label Secret Crush Records websites are kaputt. Guess it means that their stream of giddy pop has come to an end. And so soon after we’d fallen in love with the New Yorkers. ‘Staying There For A While’ is taken from 2008’s ‘Twilight’ LP and is a near perfect nugget of indie pop, the sort you’d expect from Glasgow or further north in Sweden. It has left quite an impression, so much so that I’m going to play the hound and chase down as much Baskervilles material as I can lay my ears on. KD
