A Classic Education seem to have been with us for the longest time, releasing batches of songs that with each subsequent appearance ring a little truer. Well, 4 years on and with a debut album called ‘Call It Blazing’ coming out next month on (the impeccable label) Lefse Records and a European tour with kindred spirits British Sea Power it seems their time has arrived. ‘Forever Boy’ is the first litmus test for the new album and it signals a shadier new direction, it also heralds a wonderful realisation of the Italian band’s talent. We knew they had it in them but now they are exhibiting it. It’s a long way from those snowy retreats in the Italian hills. KD
