Cat Martino – Yr Not Alone

This is probably as close to Enya that we’ll come to posting on this blog except you’ll have to swap the blended overdubs for Sufjan Stevens on backing vocals (Martino previously worked with Stevens on his ‘Age of Adz’). Cat Martino is certainly well connected but her sound rightfully demands attention going on the evidence of this, the title track from her upcoming sophomore. ‘Yr Not Alone’ is carefully assembled but thankfully stops short of sounding in any way self-important or overly arty.
