Dark Dark Dark – Daydreaming

I know what you are thinking, Tori Amos or Regina Spektor, and yep I had the very same thoughts. In the face of such tough competition it is remarkable that Nona Marie Invie’s voice does so well to hold its own. Much of the success is down to the fact that it arrives unpolished, a trip from the lungs to our ears that suffers no studio gimmickry. And Dark Dark Dark, despite the heavy tones, do have a sense of humour (see their website url) so who knows where their talent will take them. Onto nighttime medical dramas one would think (and you’d be right) and then above and beyond. The band’s debut album ‘Wild Go’ was only released in April so expect lots more brushes with their stylish tunes. KD
