Parisien duo Gaëtan Didelot and Julien Perez released their ‘End of Summer’ EP in mid January and by way of a neat quirk of fate it didn’t trigger my attentive nodes until we were almost half way through May. Not sure how my frosted body parts would have coped with ‘Ocean’ but I know their freckly brethren are quite taken with it. You see the ocean in question is one that has the sun worshiping multitudes dilly dallying on its shores as opposed to its earlier self featuring a sprinkling of sad types who contently go about their metal detecting ways under a dozen layers of duffel. Seasonally adjusted this song feels like it has just come into its own. KD
