They have done it to us before so there was no reason to doubt that North Carolina outfit wouldn’t sweep us off our feet again. Frustratingly it appears that their home page has again been lost to the spiders and recurring domain charges but at least their label Odessa Records is fighting the good net fight. ‘Well, Whatever’ is taken from the Kingsbury Manx last album ‘Ascenseur Ouvert!’ and is as effortless as indie shuffles like this get. Must gall for a band that were making NME’s top 50 album’s of 2000 that success has largely alluded them. Keep churning these mini classics out lads and your prayers will eventually be answered.
