This song deserves to be on this album and not cooped away in the darker recesses of a hard drive containing the bulging unheard. Hardly going to change the face of music but ‘Gabriel’ is such a shining example of a straight-forward pretty song, something to hum rather than dissect or delete after 20 seconds. Ivan Colon and Shelly Murphy are the twin vocals offering a nice departure for kids under three generally brainwashed by a pink dinosaur who deals in the worst choruses known to man/child. The music is especially wholesome too, a comfort blank of calm that is filled with respectful familiarity. KD
