‘Confetti’ from Chicago’s A Lull has been a long time coming, about this time last year while featuring ‘Weapons For War’ we were already making statements about it being long awaited. Thankfully the album is finally seeing the light of day next week and to say we’ve been expectant would be an understatement, we’re positively pregnant with anticipation. ‘Water & Beasts’, a track from the album, has been a prime mover in creating this excitement owing to its noisy and rumbustious nature. We like nothing better than some experimental heaving and hoeing and with the help of intense vocal engineering ‘Water & Beasts’ goes from sounding like a tractor in trouble to a porsche on a gentle incline.
