Songs that give me a shiver don’t happen so much these days but for the opening 2 minutes of the Harriman Exit’s ‘Shoot The Breeze’ I was positively polar. The duo come from Wyoming and despite the tenderest of years have amassed a scatter of electronic gems. I know it is probably easy enough to knock out a tune from a computer but the trick is to make it legible for hard to please ears. ‘Shoot The Breeze’ is certainly attractive with its wonderful shimmering Edge guitar lines and the sense that given the right remixer it could fill dancefloors to overflowing. Things might go askew towards the end but for the most part it proves the effortless talent of the Harriman Exit. KD
