Now this is a band with oodles of potential and one with a marked sense of their own potential. Whether that will inhibit them remains to be seen but their progress to date has been remarkable. New record ‘Make It Easy On Yourself’ should soon be twigging lots of important scribes but for the moment ‘A Door By The Pond’ from 2008 should be enough to get the juices flowing. Midi & The Modern Dance play with restraint and it works remarkably well most of the time but if they were to throw the shackles off anything is possible. Keep your ears peeled. KD
