Here is a song from Carlow band Huts on Stilts who are just starting out; their debut album is in the offing. Their official website features a lone image of a stationary tractor and a message from Harry the Harvester. How about that for pulling in the scenesters, they’ll be coming from Brooklyn to Bergen to gorge on such engrossing indie aesthetics. For this and the fact that ‘Stumble’ shows lots of potential HOS must be applauded, who needs a swish haircut or nice trainers when the bottom line is whether the music stacks up. And ‘Stumble’ truly is a lovely pile of a song, the sort of nugget that could fit onto a 10-song mixtape with consummate ease and perhaps alert the tragic folk of Ireland towards the fact that there’s life beyond the appalling Blizzards and Coronas.
