Of late I’ve been retreating into the sound of my youth, I think it may be down to the fact that hugger junior is on the way. Not sure why but the experience is starting to get to me ““ could be the realisation that mythical characters called squarepants will be replacing genuine indie characters with nice haircuts. Ok, enough of the sappiness here is a cute little band from Italy that have that early 90’s sound down perfectly. ‘A Brighter Sunday’ is taken from their new album ‘Low Fidelity In Relationships’ and bursts with the sort of harmonies, brass interludes and inventive chords you’d expect from a breaking band in the UK inkies (oh, NME already have). Pretty soon this particular Turin crowd could be leaving their own indelible mark. KD
