I was about to turn in but then this song appeared from nowhere so I investigated and found out that the band from Southampton who’d written it about Cat Power had split up 3 years ago so rather than catch some zzz’s I decided to write this very long line to tell you how much I like the dynamics and fragility and how, somewhat ridiculously, I feel a bit sad that they are no more but at least something beautiful called Co-Pilgrim sprung from the ashes they left behind. Time for bed. KD

I think if I penned a love song to Chan Marshall it would lack the plaintive qualities of this great track and lean more in a filthy, depraved direction. Good night indeed, Vic, good night indeed.
Well, just when you think it’s too much and too plaintive it picks up steam and gets really just perfect in the end. I’m loving this song now, dang it all! And my New Year’s resolution to cut back on mp3 hoarding is ruined only 8 days in! ;-p
