They may only have been featured here last month but I’m finding it increasingly hard to stay away from the Tough Alliance. Image and name aside this duo are capable of churning out the softest electro pop that we’ve heard since OMD decided they couldn’t stand the sight of each other’s mullets. ‘A New Chance’ is propped up by a 90’s dance inspired piano key fidget (also bask in the acid reference towards the end) but the reminder harks back to a decade earlier when electro pop ruled the roost. ‘A New Chance’ tumbles so gracefully it would be a distinguished entry on any dancefloor worth its salt but could also prove useful as you try to drown out the boredom while doing the vacuuming.
