Listening to their music it’s obvious all AHK’s need is a marketing agency to append their sunshine pop to any TV advert they have planned. The sound reminds of Camera Obscura, the Legends (which shares some members), early St. Etienne and there are even some shades of the Carpenters. ‘Do What You Wanna Do’ is a faultless tune from the bands 5th album ‘Sing Along With Acid House Kings’. Here you’ll find cascading vocal melodies, sixties soundscapes and the most finely tuned handclaps this side of Gypsy Kings.
