Not content with peering back to a long departed rave scene it seems we are about to witness Shoegaze’s second coming. Thankfully, this is a well I could heartily drink from again and still do whenever I feel like escaping the new-wave machinations of today’s up and comers. Who could resist the ample charms of MBV, Slowdive, Lush, Chapterhouse and those early Ride endeavours? A cursory trip around myspace provides ample proof that floppy fringes and incendiary guitars lines could soon have Chris Martin reaching for a couple of free trade teabags to protect his eardrums. So here’s to some favourable neugaze action. KD
