They Live By Night are another fab 4-piece from Gothenburg who are on the verge of getting their debut album together. Imbued with an admirable DIY ethic they are about to embark on a tour of Germany, which is their first foray outside their native land. ‘Truth Or Dare’ is a wonderful example of scuzzy pop with rampaging rhythms, screeching guitars and a chorus jam packed with ba ba ba’s. Joel Sjoo has a voice born to sing indiepop anthems and his band performs illuminating tricks with the basic tools of the trade. They Live By Night have recently performed with this years gonna be’s I’m From Barcelona in what was probably a wonderful clash of sounds. KD
