Fuck me, here's a surprise. I bought this album exclusively because of Steve Lillywhite's involvement, and liked about half of it. Song for Someone is ace.

I only tracked it down again a year or so ago. I can't believe anyone else even knows them, but then I'm not from Ireland so maybe that's why I've heard so little.

They've been playing in Kilkenny on and off for the last year or two and had a gig in Cleere's at the weekend.

I'm not a fan of these reunion things. I was a fan of theirs at the time but they weren't widely feted and never had a huge fan base. You'd wonder why they are trying to rekindle the old days when the old days weren't exactly that brilliant on reflection. There's a rake of Irish bands reforming of late but most of them were shite in the first place.

There's a great YouTube video of them playing the Late Late Show with Canice in his Ziggy Stardust catsui. The faces of horror on most of the audience says it all.
