NYC’s Uncle Skunk have that My Bloody Valentine sound down alright, not particularly elaborately layered so I was thinking more ‘Isn’t Anything’ than ‘Loveless’ but the dissonance applied is still infectious. Decent Rollerskate Skinny going on here too as the song opens out in a most unexpected of ways. Shake a little crooked rain era Pavement at it and ‘Lbm’ becomes one of those rare things, a track that just keeps getting better and better as the seconds glide by. KH
