Emmrose has a stirring sense of destiny that gives ‘Hopeless Romantics’ a vitality and it proves to be a stirring illustration of a prodigious talent. The 16-year-old from New York has crafted something more here, a song that could have ended like all the rest but there is true magic in its thrust. KH
