Always good but mostly rare to hear strings in the songs that reach Hugger Towers. But given the folksy vocals it makes a whole lot of sense, this is coming from a genuine place and one that probably is not overrun by happiness. ‘Break Waves’ is a grower for sure, and marks the first collaboration between Dublin bard John Cathal O’Brien and composer Jean Marc Yee. Excited to see where this leads. KH
