I must admit it doesn’t happen that often nowadays but there is something quirky and devilish going on here, so much so that I had ‘Heaven’ on constant repeat. Quite an immediate noise bomb but with so many forces vying for our attention, including a singer (Australia’s Emily Hamilton) who just plays us the way a kitten might a ball of wool. We’re in her grip and we don’t care, in fact we could well unravel such are the propulsive goings on all around. Exciting stuff, true indie gravitas. KH
