A proper indie anthem, like the Killers used to do before they crumpled to commercial concerns. No this just goes for it, relying on Heck Nugget’s primal instincts. It reminded me of those early Manic Street Preachers numbers but with a less abrasive approach, perhaps PS I Love You are a better comparison. You can tell how much it means because when those words trip from the leadman they appear to be pulling from the well of deep inside. Taken from last year’s excellently named debut ‘Sleeping with the Forcefield On’. KH
