Feel like I am riding the sirocco here with a singer (formerly of hugger faves the Da Vincis) who is in love with someone or something but is not prone to opening up his heart despite postulating so beautifully. Reminds me of the Divine Comedy in that it seems a little like posh pop, music with a certain splendour that shouldn’t play your usual indie dives but instead occupy residencies in grandiose castles. Beach Boys harmonies abound too which in itself should be enough to make you swoon. KH
