Mother Mother – Ghosting

Ah shite, it seems that just about 3,482 blogs have got in ahead of the hug in posting the new Fleet Foxes song. Damn my slow ears. If you are able to let it settle and mature here is a Canadian band to keep you warm in the meantime. ‘Ghosting’ is a track from Mother Mother’s last album and with the follow up ‘Eureka’ waiting in the wings it should have you quietly salivating. Of course it ain’t reinventing all that much but the boy/girl vocal interplay and stop/stop momentum is pleasurable even to those who spend much of their day sorting warehouses stuffed full of chaff and lost needle levels of wheat. Mother Mother prove you don’t need too many tricks to offer lots of treats. KD
